As 2017 draws to a close, most of us are reflecting on a somewhat depressing year past. Cheric Energy is no exception.

But the recent election of Cyril Ramaposa as ANC President and likely future SA President is lending some credibility to a brighter future in the New Year. The eyes of the world are upon his shoulders.

The heart of a Solar Power System

We summarise the last few letters by discussing Solar Power’s single biggest challenge. We have been concentrating again and again on BATTERIES.
These are the most important items of your installation. Any fool can put up a couple of Solar Panels and an inverter, a charge controller and a battery or two or three….And then cry out “ solar power is a waste of money!” And we will most probably agree (with experience).

Unless you are aux fait with electrical knowledge of solar power, you will most likely look it up on the internet. Here you will find thousands of so called “ EXPERT” solar installations. Some are giving sound advice, but most are inflating their egos. Their system is scrappy and rated for far less than you would expect. This is giving solar power a very bad rap.

In the interests of giving Solar Power its rightful place in our future energy needs, we really need to understand that we can harvest very many kilo Watts of solar power and convert it to absolutely cost free energy.

IN THE FIRST LETTER OF THE NEW YEAR, WE WILL TAKE YOU ON A JOURNEY OF UNDERSTANDING JUST WHAT SOLAR POWER CAN AND CANNOT DO, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HOW IT ACTUALLY FITS TOGETHER AND WORKS.
